Tony Griggs is a Professional Genealogist located in Ashford, Kent, in the United Kingdom. He has been researching family history and tracking down elusive ancestors for 15 years. He took on his first fee-paying project in 2012 and every year spends well over 1000 hours working on behalf of clients, who now number in the hundreds. These searches have taken him to every county in England, Scotland and Wales, and back over 500 years.
Tony is a member of AGRA (Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives), the professional body for genealogists in England and Wales. Members are only accepted into AGRA after having worked in the field for several years and passing scrutiny of their work by the Board of Assessors. He has undertaken formal study into researching family history and used a wide variety of source types in a number of archives including: Canterbury Cathedral Archives, Lambeth Palace Library, The National Archives and The Society of Genealogists.
His family history research started before many of the sources we take for granted now were available online and so has a fundamental understanding of which records to use (both digital and in archives) to piece together an accurate family tree.

Dear Mr. Griggs, Thank you for the wonderful and highly professional way you have documented my family history. I can only imagine the amount of time you must have spent on the research, especially as the names are so common. I am absolutely delighted, as I am sure members of the family will be. My daughter-in-law certainly gave me the very best of presents. Once again, thank you.
